Saether Capital Corp. (SCC) is a privately-held Alberta company, providing full-scale investment banking services for its clients. The Calgary-based company, founded and owned by Mr. Ragnar Saether, was established in 2000 to assist Canadian resource companies in their quest to secure international capital. Norwegian born and a dual citizen of Norway and Canada, Mr. Saether recognized, through his international connections, a significant appetite in the Nordic region and in the United Kingdom for investment in international oil and gas and mining. SCC has subsequently financed several of Calgary's leading E&P's through innovative European financing.

Mr. Saether was born 1966, in Oslo, Norway. He received his Norwegian Baccalaureate in 1985 and graduated in 1989 from the University of Western Ontario with a BA, Honours History. In 1993, he received an MBA from the Norwegian School of Management.

During 1993 and 1994, Mr. Saether held a senior management position with the team of professionals responsible for the successful execution of the opening and closing ceremonies of the Lillehammer Winter Olympics. From 1994 to 1996, he held senior positions on film productions in Canada and Europe, usually involving horse training, riding and stunts, as well as crew safety.

Mr. Saether joined Yorkton Securities Inc. in 1996 as an equities trader. He switched to the investment banking side in 1997 and assisted in the restructuring of the firm into Orion Securities Inc. (now MacQuarie Bank). He founded Saether Capital Corp. as an independent investment banking consultancy, focusing on oil and gas financings and M&A transactions in Canadian and international markets.

Mr. Saether has traveled extensively throughout the world and is fluent in three languages.
